Offline Registrations in Rishikesh and Haridwar re-open today for Chardham yatra. Know What the daily quota is.

The Uttarakhand government on Friday decided to resume offline registration for the Chardham Yatra from Haridwar and Rishikesh from June 1. The government took this important decision after Garhwal Commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey and Inspector General of Police KS Nagnyal held talks with the concerned district magistrates and conducted a field inspection.

Under this, offline registration of 1500 devotees each will be done from Haridwar and Rishikesh from Saturday and after that the pilgrims can go to the shrines. In view of the unexpected crowd of devotees in the Char Dhams, the state government had stopped offline registration. Additional Commissioner of Garhwal Narendra Singh Quiriyal said that offline registration was stopped on May 19.

Meanwhile, the online registrations continued. The state government has made registration mandatory for the Chardham Yatra. Since the Chardham Yatra began on May 10, more than 14.40 lakh devotees have visited the Chardham so far. 5,88,790 devotees have reached Kedarnath, 3,38,382 in Badrinath, 2,61,942 in Yamunotri and 2,51,460 in Gangotri.
