Big news coming from Uttarkashi. It has been only 15 days since the Chardham Yatra started. So many devotees have reached Gangotri, Yamunotri Dham that all records have been broken. In these 15 days, 1,76,932 devotees have visited Yamunotri Dham. Whereas 1,63,191 devotees have visited Gangotri. If we talk about both Gangotri and Yamunotri Dhams, till now there are a total of 3,40,123 devotees who have visited. Whereas the number of devotees going from Gangotri to Gomukh is being said to be 2,348.
This is the data of these 15 days which has broken all records. Seeing this number of devotees, the Uttarakhand government has implemented some rules. During the Chardham Yatra, many devotees did not give complete information about their health, due to which many pilgrims have died. During the 12 days of the Yatra, 42 pilgrims have died.
According to the State Emergency Operations Center, the highest number of pilgrims who have died in Kedarnath since the opening of
the gates is 19. After this, 12 pilgrims have died in Yamunotri, 9 in Badrinath and 2 in Gangotri.

The doors were opened on 10 May.
The Char Dham Yatra started on 10 May. The doors of Yamunotri, Gangotri and Kedarnath were opened on 10 May, while the doors of Badrinath were opened on 12 May. After which, a great enthusiasm was seen among the devotees regarding the Char Dham Yatra. Due to this enthusiasm, all the records have been broken in just 15 days.
