There is a big update regarding Chardham Yatra in Uttarakhand. Section 144 has been imposed on Yamunotri Dham walking route. Uttarkashi district administration has taken this decision to control the crowd gathering in Yamunotri. According to the order of the Collector, the number of horses, mules and sticks has been fixed on the walking route from Janaki Chatti to Yamunotri. Under the new system, one will have to return after darshan from Janakchatti to Yamunotri Dham in 5 hours.
Since the beginning of Chardham Yatra in Uttarakhand, a large number of devotees have been gathering. Due to the crowd, the situation of traffic jam is such that all the arrangements have broken down. This is the reason why the Collector of Uttarkashi has ordered to implement Section 144 to control the crowd. According to the information, Deputy Collector, SP, and other officials of Barkot had submitted a report on the mob to the DM. In this, the life of the passengers was said to be in danger due to the narrowness of the Yamunotri footpath.

The number of horses and mules on the Yamunotri Darshan walking route within an hour has been fixed at 800. The timing of their arrival and departure has been fixed from 4 am to 5 pm. Along with this, the time limit for each horse-mule to take a passenger from Yamunotri and return after darshan has been fixed at five hours. It is clear in the order that no horse or mule will remain on the travel route for more than five hours. On reaching Yamunotri Dham, the pilgrims have been ordered to have darshan of Yamunotri within 60 minutes. Under this rule, the responsibilities of all the departments starting from the temple committee have been fixed.
21 pilgrims died in Chardham Yatra.
Chardham Yatra started on May 10 in Uttarakhand. After this the pilgrims started gathering in large numbers. 21 passengers have died here in 11 days. So far 7 people have died in Badrinath Dham, while 14 people have died in Gangotri-Yamunotri Dham. Doctors have attributed the death of most of these passengers to heart attack.
