Yellow alert announced for upcoming days due to ongoing heatwave

The Meteorological Department has issued a heat wave alert for the plain districts of Uttarakhand . Whereas in many hilly districts the weather conditions will remain disturbed. If you are also planning to come for Char Dham Yatra, then definitely read the weather update. Plan your journey only after that.

Meteorological Department issued alert

According to the Meteorological Department, yellow alert regarding heat wave will continue in the plain districts of Uttarakhand from 20th May to three days afterwards. This includes Dehradun, Udham Singh Nagar and Haridwar. There is a possibility of the temperature increasing further with hot winds in these districts. However, there are chances of light rain in some areas of Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Pithoragarh, Bageshwar, Almora and Tehri.

Unfavorable weather expected in Char Dham

Meteorologists have issued forecast of rain in all Char Dhams today. According to Meteorological Director Vikram Singh, there is a possibility of rain in Kedarnath Dham, Badrinath Dham, Gangotri and Yamnotri today. If you are going for the yatra, then do not forget to take raincoat, umbrella and warm clothes with you.
