Chardham Yatra 2024: FIR lodged against two on fake registration, SP Uttarkashi makes urgent appeal to devotees

After the case of fake registration came to light, SP Uttarkashi appealed to the devotees to register themselves from the official site only. He said not to be misled by any fraudster.
At the very beginning of the Chardham Yatra, a large crowd of devotees are gathering at Yamunotri and Gangotri Dham for darshan. Meanwhile, a case of fake registration has also come to light. During checking at the registration center Heena located on Gangotri National Highway, the registration date of two passenger buses was found to be fake after checking the registration bar code.
There were 88 pilgrims in both the buses. It was told by the devotees that two tour operators named Tinku and Matu from Haridwar have defrauded them for their registration. On the complaint of devotees, two cases have been registered against both the tour operators at Kotwali Maneri for preparing fake registration by fraudulently forging government documents.

SP Uttarkashi Arpan Yaduvanshi said that Uttarkashi Police is always ready to make the journey of the devotees simple, easy and safe. No passenger should travel without registration before or after the due date. All devotees should register themselves from the official site only and do not get misled by any fraudster.
Continuous checking is being done in the registration center. If the registration of anyone is found to be fake then they will not be allowed to travel under any circumstances. Strictest legal action will be taken against fake registration.
