On the highway from Yamunotri to Gangotri, shortage of passengers have been reported due to the gate system in place at several locations. Discontent was evident among travelers caught in a traffic jam at Songad, between Gangnani and Harshil on the Gangotri Highway, as they chanted slogans criticizing the Uttarakhand authorities.

To assist pilgrims traveling to Yamunotri and Gangotri Dham, the administration has released helpline numbers. These numbers will provide important information about both sites around the clock, covering disaster situations and police assistance. The control room is closely monitored by senior officers to ensure quick resolution of any issues faced by the pilgrims.

Dr. Meharban Singh Bisht, the District Magistrate, emphasized the commitment of the administration to ensuring a smooth journey for all devotees visiting Yamunotri and Gangotri Dham Yatra. He mentioned that helplines managed by the District Disaster Operation Center and District Police Control Room have been established to offer accurate and timely information regarding road conditions, weather, and other relevant details about the sites.

Pilgrims can access information and find solutions to their problems by contacting these helplines. The control room operates 24 hours a day to provide prompt assistance. Dr. Bisht has directed all nodal and departmental officers along the pilgrimage route to work together to address any issues promptly and ensure that pilgrims experience no difficulties.
