The Chardham Yatra 2024 will kick off on May 10, coinciding with the festive day of Akshaya Tritiya. Devotees can register in person starting May 8, 2024, at locations in Haridwar and Rishikesh. The sign-up stations are located at Rahi Motel in Haridwar and the Yatra Registration Office & Transit Camp in Rishikesh.
Each day, only 1000 people can sign up in Rishikesh and 500 in Haridwar. This grand pilgrimage, starting on May 10, is expected to continue until November.
The Chardham Yatra invites devotees from around the globe to visit four sacred Hindu sites: Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath.
To help manage the 2024 event smoothly, the Uttarakhand Chardham Teerth Purohit Mahapanchayat has appointed two Teerth Purohits from each site to work alongside the Uttarakhand Tourism Department. The representatives are Pt. Puroshttam Uniyal and Pt. Aniruddh Uniyal from Yamunotri, Pt. Rajnikant Semwal and Pt. Nikhilesh Semwal from Gangotri, Pt. Santosh Trivedi and Pt. Pankaj Shukla from Kedarnath, and Pt. Brijesh Sati & Pt. Praveen Dhyani from Badrinath.
Online Registration for Chardham Yatra 2024
To register online for the Chardham Yatra 2024, follow these steps:
- Visit the official site: https://registrationandtouristcare.uk.gov.in/ and click on "Register" or "Login."
- Fill out the registration form with your name, phone number, email ID, and other personal details.
- Enter the OTP sent to your phone. Once the dashboard opens, enter details like travel dates, tour name, type of tour, and number of tourists.
- Submit the form, and you will get a unique registration number on your phone.
- Use this number to download or print your Chardham Yatra 2024 registration letter.
