The Valley of Flowers was declared a national park in 1982 and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The people who have not visited the place may wonder about the reason behind this ‘world heritage’. But mountaineers, botanists, and even writers worldwide agreed that they were captivated by its beauty.
It has gained significant cultural importance due to its wide range of flora and is representative of Himalayan meadows and alpine shrubs.
