A huge mountain cliff located in the Uttarkashi district in Uttarakhand, Swargarohini is a combination of four beautiful peaks. Swargarohini is believed to one of the best trekking trails amongst Uttarakhand trekking and is also believed to be the only trekking trail where one can reach deep inside the great Himalaya Ranges. The exhaustive conditions and the enchanting rocky views of the are the key attractions of Swargarohini. Amongst the group of four mountain peaks, Swargarohini is one of the most notable and the important one due to its dramatic topography, terrain, and is consisted of two peaks viz. western summit and the eastern summit. History
After various failed attempts of climbing this high mountain peak, finally, in the year 1974, Charles Clarke of England succeeded in climbing up this massif mountain cliff towards the western side of the western summit. Later in the year 1990 on 3rd of May, a group of instructors from the Nehru Institute of Mountaineering succeeded in climbing up the cliff. The southern summit of the peak was tried unsuccessfully in the year 1990 but finally, on the 3rd of June, 1993 a group from Sweden succeeded in climbing this face. Also called as “way to heaven’, Swargarohini holds a myriad of legends and one of the most interesting one states that the mighty Pandavas were going towards heaven. However, there was only one Pandava brother named Yudhisthira who succeeded in reaching heaven. He walked along with a dog as a companion. Name of this place has been derived from the legends and interesting tales.

Swargarohini lies at a huge elevation of approx. 6252 meters above the sea level and is almost at a distance of 35 km from the Mana Village and 38 kilometers away from Badrinath Dham. This beautiful cliff stands gorgeously amidst the Garhwal Himalayas in the Saraswati Ranges.

Also called as the last village in India, Mana Village is located only a few kilometers ahead of Indo-Tibet border which is situated at a huge altitude of 3219 meters above the sea level. Bhotias which are the Indo-Mongolian tribes are the residents of this small yet beautiful village.

The nearest accessible road to reach the destination is Badrinath Dham as it has very good connectivity with the other major cities in the state including Rishikesh, Haridwar, and many others.
