The Pilgrimage trip to Char Dham comprises four pilgrim sites namely – Yamunotri where the goddess Yamuna is worshipped, Gangotri Dham where the god Ganga resides, Kedarnath Dham where the deity Shiva blesses and Badrinath Dham, a sacred realm of Lord Vishnu. Sanctuaries like these, nestled in the snow-crested peaks and green valleys, are cherished places by millions of devotees all over India. Let’s begin the travel- Virtually through the Char Dham Yatra Route Map, discovering the ways to the heavenly world and knowledge.
Yamunotri Dham: Blessings of Goddess Yamuna
The beginning of our trip is at Yamunotri, considered the abode of the holy and sacred Yamuna River. An abode of divine splendor, Yamunotri ranks among the best of the Himalayan vistas crowned by the heavenly beauty. It is perched at an altitude of 3293 meters. Pilgrims get an opportunity to travel on this spiritual journey either by helicopter or by road. The helicopter service starts from Dehradun and is followed by a fascinating ride from Dehradun to Yamunotri. Therefore, the journey via the road opens the view of the picturesque towns and villages and finally leads to the pilgrimage to the holy shrine.
Gangotri Dham: Embrace the Ganges
The next destination on our spiritual voyage is Gangotri, the abode of the holy river Ganga. Placed in the beautiful surroundings of the hill station of Uttarkashi, Gangotri gives one a feeling of peace and sacredness. Pilgrims can choose to fly by helicopter or move to the winding path of the sacred river through the road, navigating the stunning expanse of mountains and getting immersed in the natural beauty of the Himalayas.

Following this, we will go to Badrinath, the place of Lord Vishnu, last located on the bank of the Alaknanda River. The highest surrounding peaks and beautiful forests served as a perfect refuge of calm and spirituality in Badrinath. Pilgrims have the option to book a chopper ride from Delhi to Sersi, and then have a short road drive to Badrinath. Conversely, along the road, driving through varied landscape patches with towns and villages, the route would magically turn into a divine vacation.
Kedarnath Dham: The Home of Lord Siva
The Kedarnath Temple, considered as the residence of Lord Shiva is our final stop on the Char Dham Yatra. Sitting gracefully at an altitude of about 3584 meters, in the peaceful surroundings of the Mandakini River, Kedarnath calls the pilgrims to experience the soothing sensation of its mysterious and spiritual feeling. The ropeway from Delhi to Sersi is where the pilgrims can take on a helicopter ride and then board a car to arrive at Kedarnath. On the other hand, the journey by the roadway passes through scenic areas which provide the chance to see a slice of heaven at every corner.
