Vasudhara Waterfalls- The Mystical Falls Near Badrinath Dham

The enchanting water falls down from a height of 400 feet and from a distance, it seems like milk is falling down from the mountain. Trekking Trail

You need to trek for at least 5 to 6 km to reach and witness this cascading waterfall in Uttarakhand. However, the trekking trail is of a long distance and too tedious but once you cover the distance and reach this place, the scenic splendor of this region takes away all your tiredness and leave you mesmerized. You need to cover a total distance of 9 km from Badrinath to Vasudhara Falls and the first 3 km distance (from Badrinath to Mana village) can be easily covered by road. From Mana Village tourists need to cover a trekking distance of 6 km to reach this splendid waterfall destination. It takes around 2 hours to cover the trekking destination and to reach the destination. The first 2-3 km of the trekking trail is easy but after reaching Saraswati Mandir, the trek becomes quite difficult and too steep. However, this trek is quite interesting and gives a new trekking experience to the tourists.

Badrinath Temple

A beautiful temple which is dedicated to Lord Badri (manifestation of Lord Vishnu) and is one of the most revered pilgrimage destinations in the state and in the country. The divine temple is located at an altitude of 3133 meters above the sea level and is heavily crowded by the tourists all throughout the year. Singh Dwara which is the main entrance of the temple is the major attraction of the temple. The temple was constructed by the famous Hindu Saint Adi Shankaracharya in the 8th century.

Mana village

This sacred Ghat has situated just 500 km away from the Badrinath Temple and on the river bank of Alaknanda and holds great religious values among Hindus. Hindu devout come here to pay their homage and respect to the departed souls of their ancestors. It is believed that if the Shraddha Karma of the ancestors is performed at this place then they will get liberation from the cycle of birth and death.

Tapt Kund

This sacred hot water spring is located near to the Badrinath Temple where devotees flock in a good number to pay their offerings and homage to the god. The Kund is believed to hold medicinal values which cure the ailments like skin diseases and others. There is a unique property of this Kund which is a wonder among devotees as the temperature of the water of the Kund always ranges around 45 degree Celsius.

By Rail– Rishikesh Railway Station is the nearest railway station to Badrinath and is located at a distance of 294 km. There are frequent trains coming to Rishikesh railhead and from Rishikesh, you can easily reach Badrinath by catching a bus or by hiring a taxi.

By Air– Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun is the nearest airport to Badrinath which is located around 311 km. There are regular flights from Delhi to Dehradun Airport and from Jolly Grant Airport, taxis are easily available to Badrinath.
