According to weather department Monsoons have become strong once again in Uttarakhand. Due to this fact in places such as Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Dehradun, Pithoragarh, Bageshwar, Almora, Nainital and Champawat may receive rounds of heavy rainfall until Sunday evening. Alongside in the remain districts cloud cladding the sky may bring about medium range showers.
State weather department director, Vikram Singh holds the opinion that landslides could be triggered by heavy rainfall occurring in 9 districts of Uttarakhand. Due to this road blockage situations may arise in many places along with the Chardham route. Thus people are cautioned and advised to make journey only if it is utterly necessary. He added that until 17th July 2016 weather conditions will remain the same.
Heavy rainfall at Dwarahat, Gairsain
On Thursday about 7cm of heavy rainfall has been recorded at Dwarahat and Gairsain. This is categorized as ‘heavy rainfall’. Places like Almora and Dharchula has received 5cm of rainfall while Dehradun has received 2cm of Rainfall.
